Artificial intelligence enters Polish education!

In October this year, the YouSchool platform was launched, which is a pioneering educational solution offering teaching at the primary school level. At the same time, with the launch of its core business, the YouSchool platform signed a letter of intent with the AI market tycoon - Synersie, to jointly develop the use of AI in the education system.

Polish education faced the necessity of systemic changes resulting from both the progress of civilization and the expectations of students and their parents - a powerful catalyst of which was the COVID-19 pandemic in the last two years. The necessity to switch the entire system into remote learning mode has shown that there are already technical possibilities to break the current pattern of learning only in a school understood as a place.

On the other hand, it made educators from all over Poland aware that these opportunities must be used skilfully, e.g.: by collecting appropriate tools such as video conferencing systems, as well as applications and other multimedia methods of transferring knowledge. Ultimately, knowledge becomes the same content as modern entertainment, which is why it requires skillful communication.

The first step resulting from these experiences is to launch the YouSchool platform. The distinguishing feature of this project is the high substantive level and various forms of knowledge transfer. This platform was created in cooperation with respected authors and teachers from all over Poland, and Edison Primary School is responsible for verifying their skills.

The second step will be the development and application of AI in education. The number of potential applications seems practically unlimited at the moment. However, the overriding goal of the cooperation between YouSchool and Synerise is to use the full potential of AI in supporting young people during the process of learning - to finally prepare them to co-create the digital world of the 21st century.

YouSchool is an educational platform resulting from the cooperation between EduTech Found and EDisON. The aim of the platform is to offer students, in collaboration with EdisOn Primary School, primary education in the form of home learning. The authors of the concept on which the YouSchool platform is based are Agnieszka Olszewska, Filip Elżanowski (Ph.D.),  and Wojciech Dąbrowski. The teaching supervisor of the entire project is Tomasz Tokarz (Dr.), who oversees all issues with the selection of content and the didactic process. The scientific consultant is Marlena Plebańska (Prof.), one of the precursors of Polish e-education as well as an expert in the field of distance education and the use of new media in education.

Synerise is a deep-tech company founded in 2013 in Krakow, with branches in Warsaw, San Francisco and Dubai. The company provides advanced and proprietary technological solutions in the field of artificial intelligence and big data in over 30 markets, processing over 150 billion transactions annually.

Synerise's scientific and research work is appreciated by personalities of the high tech scene around the world and in national and global competitions. Synerise, along with international market giants such as Baidu and DeepMind, was among the winners of the KDD Cup 2021 hosted by, among others, Stanford University in the USA.

The company also won awards in the field of artificial intelligence in the following competitions: Booking.com Data Challenge and Rakuten Data Challenge. The latest success of the Synerise team is winning the 2nd place in the prestigious RecSys Data Challenge organized by Twitter, where Synerise engineers had to analyze a data set containing 1 billion tweets selected by Twitter in several dozen different languages (including Japanese, Thai).

The lack of proper educational facilities is a significant barrier to the growth of private and public schools. The demand for new facilities suited to current needs is increasing, among other reasons, due to the dynamic growth of private schools. At the same time the development of public educational infrastructure is limited by diminishing funds at the disposal of local government units.

The IQ Construction initiative implemented by Edutech Fund assumes that the repeatability and scalability of projects employing modular technologies will allow to meet the needs of the educational market.

Works on the reference facility are already underway. The design works were commissioned to the renowned XYstudio, specializing in the design of educational facilities.

EduTech Fund works with Central European Chamber of Commerce

2021.08.02

The past year has made clear the need to introduce changes to the way supply chains are arranged, in particular when significant geographic distances are concerned. The sudden closure of borders at the outbreak of the pandemic meant that the import of intermediate goods from Asian countries practically stopped. This situation shook many companies, and at the same time gave food for thought about the need to find better solutions.

EduTech Fund, together with the Central European Chamber of Commerce, took up the challenge of developing efficient forms of cross-border cooperation based on VR, AR, MR and IoT technologies and tools employing the concepts of networked organizations, in order to increase production and cooperation by entities operating in the EU.

The implementation of these solutions will require several educational activities aimed to improve the competences of employees at enterprises involved in the cooperation.

The creation of the proposed cooperation ecosystem will contribute to transferring a part of the production to the EEA, as well as igniting the creation of new jobs.
